U.S. Market Entry
South Africans have been building world class businesses for generations, and more of them are setting their sights on the United States. But registering a company here as a foreign owner comes with requirements that can stall a launch for months if you don’t know them. U.S. Market Entry from Advance Ventures walks you through every step, so you can open for business in America with confidence.
“We’ve made the move ourselves. Now let us help you make yours.”
Every U.S. company needs a registered agent with a physical address in its state of formation to receive legal and government notices, and foreign owners also need a local U.S. address for physical mail. From there, you’ll need to form your LLC or corporation, draft an operating agreement, obtain an EIN (this is your company’s “social security number”) from the IRS, open a U.S. business bank account, secure any state or local licenses, and keep up with annual filings such as state reports and the IRS Form 5472 required of many foreign owned companies. We serve as your registered agent and local address in Texas and Louisiana.
Please note that forming a U.S. company does not by itself give you the right to live or work in the United States. We recommend speaking with an immigration attorney about your visa options alongside your business setup.
